Asam Pedas Melaka Naik Harga. Ini Penjelasan Pemilik Restoran. | MELAKA: Kenaikan harga barangan asas seperti cili, lada hitam, serai dan halia memaksa peniaga restoran masakan asam pedas di negeri ini menaikkan harga makanan tersebut.

Pemilik Asam Pedas Selera Kampung Sdn. Bhd., Saharudin Mohd. Noor berkata, harga barang mentah naik mendadak selepas Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) menyebabkan margin keuntungan pengusaha restoran sepertinya mengecil.

Menurutnya, harga cili meningkat hampir 100 peratus kepada RM90 untuk lima kilogram (kg) berbanding hanya RM70 bagi 10 kg sebelum ini.

“Pada masa sama bahan asas lain yang perlu dimasukkan dalam masakan seperti serai, halia, lengkuas, lada hitam dan cili kering turut meningkat. Itu belum lagi dicampur dengan pelbagai kos lain seperti upah pekerja, utiliti dan sewa kedai.

“Saya sendiri terkejut setelah tujuh bulan tidak berniaga, tiba-tiba kos bahan asas naik mendadak. Bahan mentah seperti ikan pari, jenahak dan pelaling juga semakin mahal. Menu-menu tertentu di kedai saya telah berubah harga sekitar 30 peratus sejak dua minggu lepas,” katanya ketika ditemui Utusan Malaysia.

Sementara itu, Saharudin berkata, sekiranya peniaga memilih tidak menaikkan harga, mereka terpaksa mengurangkan menu atau bahan penting yang mana kualiti masakan terjejas.

“Saya mementingkan kualiti, sebab itu harga dinaikkan. Sebenarnya pihak berwajib yang harus memainkan peranan dengan mengkaji faktor mengapa harga naik mendadak,” katanya.
